Esto me ha pasado un par de veces hasta ahora, sin estar seguro de lo que está sucediendo. Creo que está relacionado con tener un monitor externo conectado al portátil.
Mi flujo de trabajo habitual es hacer que el MBP cierre sesión en la mañana para que TimeMachine realice una copia de seguridad de mi directorio de inicio de FileVaulted. Desconecto todo (concentrador USB, monitor externo, alimentación) y le digo a la MBP que se ponga en reposo, luego cierro la tapa.
Uso el sistema durante el día y cuando llego a casa, vuelva a conectar el USB y la pantalla externa.
Dos veces en unas pocas semanas, la pantalla del LCD externo se puso en blanco y la pantalla incorporada se volvió completamente azul, sin pánico del kernel, sin errores mostrados, nada. Me veo obligado a apagarlo al mantener presionado el botón de encendido y luego reiniciarlo.
Anoche me lo hizo a mí. Tenía abierto mi navegador de correo electrónico / web y me senté, toqué el mouse, y las pantallas simplemente saltaron a blanco sólido y las incorporaron a azul sólido.
La última vez que recuerdo que esto sucedió, tuve Spaces habilitado, y pensé que había un problema con el monitor externo conectado con Spaces habilitado (creo que el fallo ocurrió después de que el MBP se fue a dormir durante la noche, se conectó a la alimentación y desperté Por la mañana, para que funcionara bien, deshabilité Spaces y parecía estar más estable, ya que no recordaba que sucediera durante bastante tiempo.
Abrí los registros del servidor de Windows para el momento del bloqueo y solo encontré esto (el reinicio fue cerca de las 7:15 PM):

Running (currently) 10.6.5, all updates according to the update utility, and I ran the permission fix and disk check after the previous crash. No filesystem errors were detected, although it did change some permissions.
