Estoy tratando de usar el modelo de pantalla Seiki 4k SE39UY04 con una MacBook Pro de Retina, de 15 pulgadas, a principios de 2013 a 3840x2160 a 30 Hz con Mavericks. He conseguido que funcione dos veces en dos días diferentes, pero al devolver mi MacBook a la pantalla e intentar volver a conectarme, ahora estoy fallando otra vez en el tercer intento. Cada vez que tuve que jugar con él durante unos 45 minutos, hasta que de alguna manera lo hice funcionar. Al principio, parecía que el uso de SetResX era incompatible, así que desinstalé eso y pareció ayudar. Mientras estaba lejos del monitor, agregué QuickRes como alternativa a SetResX, pero ahora, incluso después de reiniciar varias veces y ya no ejecuto QuickRes, no puedo hacer que la pantalla externa funcione hoy. El síntoma es que el Seiki da el mensaje Not Support por lo que parece que ve una señal de que no es compatible. Estoy usando el cable HDMI incluido con el monitor.

¿Hay alguna herramienta que pueda usar para ayudar a depurar por qué esto funciona intermitentemente? ¿Hay algún tipo de controlador que necesita ser actualizado? ¿Este síntoma sugiere que el cable HDMI es inestable? ¿Hay un buen orden para colocar la pantalla en relación con la pantalla incorporada que está encendida (tapa del portátil)?

Para resolver los problemas descritos, el monitor Seiki necesita que se actualice su firmware. Las instrucciones en el sitio web de Seiki son incorrectas para este monitor. Aquí están las instrucciones correctas para actualizar el firmware:

  1. Descargue el archivo .rar / .zip y extraiga el archivo "install.img" en una unidad de disco con el formato nuevo (FAT32)

  2. Coloque la unidad de memoria en el puerto USB 1 (el que está en la parte posterior, no en el lateral)

  3. Encienda el televisor

  4. En tu control remoto, presiona el botón "menú"

  5. Luego, en tu control remoto, presiona "0" 4 veces, eso te llevará al menú de servicio.

  6. En el menú de servicio, elija la opción de actualización de software

  7. La pantalla

    mostrará la animación de actualización

  8. Espere pacientemente a que finalice la actualización

  9. Apaga la televisión cuando termines

  10. Desconecta la unidad de disco
