Estoy probando Mac Gimp 2.8 como alternativa al Photoshop. Tenía ganas de ir por más cosas del sistema operativo y me pregunté si Gimp jugaría bien. Parece que tanto Photoshop como Gimp reciben el mismo error al trabajar con texto. Tan pronto como intento trabajar con mis fuentes en Gimp, obtengo:

¿Alguien tiene alguna idea de por qué Gimp está fallando aquí y cómo puedo usarlo para agregar capas de texto nuevamente? Necesito hacer un trabajo aquí y se bloquea tan pronto como selecciono una fuente y trato de agregar texto. También me pregunto si los errores de PS y Gimp están relacionados.
Tengo alrededor de 300 fuentes instaladas. Macs y Gimp o Photoshop no se ahogarán con esa cantidad ahora, ¿ellos ...?!
Cuando cargué Gimp ejecutando onder Xquartz basado en el paquete MacPorts después de agregar todas las fuentes nuevas, no se bloqueó. Por lo tanto, esto podría ser un problema de Apple X11 u otro código de código nativo de Apple, ya que Gimp 2.8 ejecutarse bajo el X11 de Apple de forma ingenua sigue fallando.

Actualización 2 Se agregó la última versión de Xquartz y se actualizó el sistema operativo a Lion. Todo está bien ahora.
